Weather in July

As July unfolds, the British Virgin Islands are firmly in the wet season. However, this does not dramatically alter the attractive climate of the islands. Average temperatures in July hover around a warm 26°C (78.8°F) at night to a hot 33°C (91.4°F) during the day. Despite the increased warmth, the cooling effect of the trade winds continues to moderate the overall climate, ensuring comfortable conditions for visitors.

In the capital, Road Town, the weather follows similar patterns to the rest of the islands, with the sea temperature remaining consistently warm at 29°C (84.2°F). This warm water is ideal for various water-based activities such as snorkeling, sailing, and swimming.

July witnesses a further increase in rainfall compared to June, with average precipitation levels reaching about 110mm (4.33"). While rain showers are more frequent during this period, they are typically brief and are often followed by periods of clear, sunny weather. This ensures that visitors can still enjoy a good deal of sunshine and pleasant weather in between the showers.

Moving into August, the British Virgin Islands see a continuation of the wet season, with further increases in both temperature and rainfall. Despite this, the weather in July remains warm and manageable, offering a balmy Caribbean experience to visitors.
