Weather in June

June marks the start of summer in Tajikistan, characterized by a further rise in temperatures and a decrease in precipitation. In the country's lowland regions and major cities, including Dushanbe, the capital, average temperatures tend to range between 25°C (77°F) and 30°C (86°F). Rainfall becomes less frequent, as the arid summer conditions take hold.

In the eastern Pamirs, the summer season brings milder temperatures, although these remain cool when compared to the rest of the country. The average temperatures in this high-altitude region typically fluctuate between 5°C (41°F) and 10°C (50°F). The remnants of snowfall disappear during this month, giving way to occasional rain showers.

As for precipitation, June typically sees a substantial decrease compared to the preceding months of spring. The rivers that swelled in May due to melting snow and frequent rainfall start to recede. As June progresses into July, the temperatures continue their upward trend, and the arid conditions intensify, particularly in the subtropical southwestern lowlands of Tajikistan.
